São Paulo-Guarulhos (GRU) is São Paulo’s main international airport and one of Brazil’s key connecting points for domestic, regional South American and long-haul traffic. LATAM and GOL are the most important network carriers here, with LATAM split between domestic operations in Terminal 2 and international operations in Terminal 3, while GOL is centered on Terminal 2; Azul’s domestic flights use the more isolated Terminal 1, with international Azul flights listed at Terminal 3. The main Brazilian carriers are not currently members of the big three global alliances, so alliance benefits at GRU mostly come through foreign Star Alliance, SkyTeam and oneworld airlines operating long-haul services. For travelers, the airport works best when your itinerary stays within T2/T3 or on one ticket; allow more buffer for anything involving T1, separate tickets, baggage reclaim, immigration or a late-night landside transfer.

Line operating hours listed by GRU: Sunday-Friday 04:00-00:00, Saturday 04:00-01:00. Free airport shuttle connects the CPTM station with terminals.
