Sultan Thaha Airport DJBWIJJ
Sultan Thaha Airport (DJB) is Jambi’s main air gateway and functions as a regional Indonesian domestic airport, not a major alliance hub. It is not a published hub for oneworld, Star Alliance or SkyTeam; Garuda Indonesia gives SkyTeam connectivity via Jakarta, while Batik Air, Lion Air, Citilink, Sriwijaya Air and Super Air Jet are among the typical domestic operators. The network is heavily Jakarta-oriented, with other domestic links such as Batam, Medan and Yogyakarta appearing in schedules. The airport is compact: one passenger terminal handles departures and arrivals, so there is no inter-terminal transfer. For the city, taxi or app-based ride-hailing is the practical default; central Jambi is only about 7 km away, so plan roughly 15-30 minutes in normal traffic. DJB is not a classic layover airport: there is no widely listed airside hotel or flagship lounge scene, and domestic self-connections should be padded because bags, check-in and security may require going landside.
