BJS is the Beijing metropolitan airport code, so the practical choice is usually between Beijing Capital (PEK) and Beijing Daxing (PKX). PEK remains the older, larger international gateway and the main Air China/Star Alliance base, with Hainan and many long-haul foreign carriers also present. PKX is the newer southern mega-airport, built around one large terminal and used heavily by China Southern, China Eastern, XiamenAir, China United and other domestic/regional operators, with growing international service. For frequent flyers, the single most important rule is to check the actual airport code: PEK and PKX are on opposite sides of Beijing, so a self-transfer between them needs a long buffer, not a normal connection window.

Bus / coach

Both airports run airport shuttle/coach lines to downtown districts and to neighbouring cities; PKX coaches also serve inter-airport (PEK↔PKX) transfers.

Taxi

Official metered taxi ranks at both airports (PEK all terminals; PKX ground transport centre). Daxing is ~46 km south of central Beijing, so fares/time are higher than from Capital.

Train / metro

PEK: Capital Airport Express metro to Dongzhimen. PKX: Daxing Airport Express metro to Caoqiao, plus the Daxing Airport intercity high-speed rail to Beijing West.
