Regional Cuisine, Czech

This handsome 17C half-timbered house in a picturesque village stands out for its unique architecture – it is one of the few remaining buildings of its kind in the Czech Republic. The attractive interior is minimalist in style and features a rustic wooden ceiling and a distinctive brick floor. Only regional, sustainably sourced ingredients are used in the kitchen, and the menu is intentionally concise. Dishes such as beef tartare with wild garlic mayonnaise, pickled shallot and herbs are refreshingly simple. Many components are produced in-house, including jus, oils, jams and compotes; the tea

With WEBERSTUBE, Hotel BEI SCHUMANN presents an appealing dining concept. Warm wood, a tiled stove and charming decorative touches make for a cosy atmosphere, and the kitchen places emphasis on regional produce and seasonal ingredients. The tempting à la carte menu includes dishes such as pan-fried trout fillets with pearl barley and a small salad, or rump steak with a mustard and onion crust, grilled green asparagus, potato gratin and a red wine jus.

Inside, the modern dining rooms are done out in a pretty, rural style; outside, there is a lovely courtyard with a view of the kitchen. The seasonal cuisine is regional and international, and they are keen to use local produce. You can choose between the "Landidyll" set menu and "A la carte menu". And those who want to do without meat can look forward to a vegan set menu. Overnight accommodation in the traditional Erbgericht.

Hotel Tuchmacher, ensconced in a pretty Renaissance town house with this delightfully cosy restaurant, is an institution here in Görlitz. The classic regional menu includes dishes such as Wiener schnitzel, stewed rabbit leg on Leipziger Allerlei vegetables, and stewed brook trout roll on pickled vegetables. Almost all of the wines are also available by the glass. In summer, the courtyard with its terrace is absolutely idyllic! "Bleicherstube" and "Zunftsaal" are their attractive salons. The location in the heart of the old town is charming – it is next to the church (Pfarrkirche St Peter and P

For fans of authentic Italian food, this ristorante makes for a pleasing alternative to JUWEL and WEBERSTUBE, the other two restaurants to be found here in the Hotel BEI SCHUMANN. Soak up the atmosphere in the wonderfully cosy dining area, in which Italian background music brings that feel-good factor, while the team in the open kitchen conjure up delicious fish and meat dishes, as well as classics such as antipasti, pasta and pizza cooked in the brick oven – the pizzas are available in smaller sizes, too. Desserts such as the zabaione di Marsala are also delicious. Speciality in winter: spagh

With its unpretentious feel, trendy modern-bistro style tweaked with a rustic touch, and pleasingly friendly service, this restaurant ticks all the boxes. And, last but not least, there is the regional, seasonal cuisine, in the form of a small but perfectly formed à la carte selection, including specialities from the Josper grill. Located in the hotel of the same name, this is the sister hotel of the Savoy right next door.

The combination of a chic, modern vibe and modern regional cuisine with international influences is nothing if not inviting. The tasting menu gives you the best overview of the appealing range of dishes. The à la carte selection meanwhile has further options in store – and children are also catered for. The wine list includes well-known vineyards and names from the Old World, as well as a fine selection of champagnes. The restaurant is located in the Hotel Savoy, which is affiliated with the neighbouring Hotel Soyka.
