A restaurant that is well worth considering as it is never easy to find modern cuisine at affordable prices. The restaurant, which takes its name (’a beloved woman’) from an old Catalan language once sung by troubadours, boasts a contemporary interior with a kitchen visible from the dining room and an adjoining bar so that you can watch as the dishes are prepared in front of you. Chef Jordi Pallàs champions a modern fusion cuisine with plenty of Asian influences, both in the à la carte service and through his set menus (Aimia and Alma de Aimia). Our recommendation? Sisè is situated in the district of Cappont, a residential area to the south of the city, where it is run in a very informal manner by Àngel Esteve, a young Lleida-born chef who has returned to his roots to open his own business (the name is his own small homage to his grandparents) having worked away in a number of leading restaurants.
