Villa de Cillis Carafa is an ancient historic residence forming part of the Vesuvian Villas circuit, private residence of the Marquise Eleonora Carafa D’Andria who made this place her favorite resting place. The villa has recently been restored to its ancient splendor and today welcomes guests in a convivial context. The villa is located in an area, destination of the most illustrious European families of the 18th century, final destination of the Grand Tour, immersed in a 1. 5 hectare green park within the Vesuvius National Park, offering a breathtaking view of Capri and on Vesuvius. Each room, different from the others, narrates unique experiences, where the original vaults and antique furniture blend harmoniously with ancient Vietri “riggiole” and modern tapestries. Each environment is equipped with the most modern technologies to guarantee an unforgettable stay.

Just a stone’s throw from the seafront promenade, this friendly, colourful restaurant serves delicious, carefully prepared fish and meat dishes inspired by the traditions of Campania yet reinterpreted with a touch of imagination and character by skilful owner-chef Nunzio Spagnuolo. Our inspector’s favourite dish was the ravioli alla caprese with three types of tomato, provolone del Monaco cheese and basil-infused olive oil.

In an elegant setting facing the harbour and the sea, the dining room at this restaurant is a terrace with large picture windows boasting beautiful views that also include Capri. The sea takes pride of place on the menu, which features fresh fish and plenty of local produce in the cuisine served here. Don’t miss the raw fish options, which include a selection of oysters, tartares and ceviche. Our inspector particularly enjoyed the roll of sea bass stuffed with spinach, fior di latte, beurre blanc sauce, parsley oil and onions.
