A beautiful farmhouse not far from the town, with a friendly, welcoming and colourful feel, where the menu features Italian dishes alongside a few local specialities, such as an excellent "bagna caoda". Special mention goes to the superb selection of beers chosen by owner Moreno, which ranges from local craft beers to labels from across the globe. There’s even a beer-themed dessert, the Birramisù. Offering excellent value for money, it is extremely popular, so booking ahead is recommended.

Siblings Antonio and Elvira uphold a family tradition which, since the 1960s, has been part of a much longer history, that of the simple wine shop which occupied these premises immediately after the Great War. For generations, the Previdi family has been a benchmark for authentic, fragrant and delicious Emilian cuisine, prepared — as they like to recall — “without revisiting it, whenever possible”.Fresh, homemade pasta is a real highlight, starting with the legendary pumpkin tortelli – made famous in part by the restaurant’s proximity to the province of Mantua – served with a savoury meat sauc

While you’re trying to decide between the tasting menu and the à la carte at this restaurant, you can tuck into its excellent bread, including the “sfincione” – a type of tomato-flavoured focaccia from Palermo which makes the journey here worthwhile on its own! If fish is your preference, we recommend the “Palermo and Marseille” fish stew, an intense dish full of bold and delicious flavours. Minimalist decor and a friendly welcome from chef Rino Duca complete the picture.

Situated just a stone’s throw from the splendid Santa Croce church, this charming restaurant should not be missed. The cuisine combines Emilian traditions with fresh, local ingredients, and includes dishes with a more contemporary touch. The excellent bread and home-made pastries add to the overall dining experience.

The Emilian authenticity of the Barolo brothers and their team fills the air with smiles and warmth, making every visit to this simple and welcoming restaurant a pleasure, the perfect place to enjoy the company of friends or colleagues. The menu is steeped in tradition: it is impossible to resist their pasta dishes, such as the creamy and satisfying “gramigna sporcafaccia” or tortellini covered in a velvety smooth Parmesan cream sauce. Desserts include a crunchy “sbrisolona” cake served with zabaglione made with passito wine, while the “zuppa inglese” trifle releases deliciously smooth notes t

A late 19th century building houses this simple but welcoming restaurant, which moves its service outdoors during the summer months, creating a pleasant and informal atmosphere. The menu alternates traditional local specialities with Italian dishes, featuring a significant selection of seafood options. Raw seafood is always on the menu: served plain or in slightly more elaborate versions, it is one of the most popular choices among diners.

A landmark occasion: in 2026, the fourth generation celebrated one hundred years of history of this establishment, also with its inclusion in the Guide. The venture was first set in motion by Annunciata in Cittanova, before closing in 2002 and reopening four years later at its present address, directly opposite the magnificent Abbey of Nonantola, taking on the name that had long served as its founder’s nickname: Nunziadêina. Since then, the common thread has remained the same: the delicacies and indulgent treats of Emilia-Romagna.The dining rooms are homely, yet attentive to detail; fresh flow
