The name sort of gives it away if you have any German: This attractive modern brasserie is housed in a former sugar factory, now a listed building. Exposed red brick walls and high ceilings give the setting an appealing industrial feel. In summer, the terrace is shaded by awnings. Flavoursome seasonally inspired dishes are served à la carte, with an additional set menu available. The waitstaff are pleasantly down-to-earth, very friendly and well organised.

Enrico Dunkel and his small restaurant have been a well-established part of the city's culinary landscape for years. His cooking style is ambitious, creative and draws on international influences. The set menu can comprise five, six or seven courses. Choose your accompaniment from the extensive selection of fine German wines. There is also a pairing menu. The interior is modern yet cosy. In summer, the pretty terrace beckons.

This compact restaurant started out in autumn 2024 as a pop-up serving dishes à la carte. Today, it opens its doors in the evenings to present modern and creative cuisine in the form of two five- or seven-course set menus: "Eine Rundreise" and the vegetarian "Botanischer Garten". At the helm in the kitchen, Valentin Thesing (previously at Aqua in Wolfsburg) delivers expressive, harmonious flavour combinations in dishes such as "scallop, water spinach, coconut", complete with robust sauces and stocks. The restaurant is housed in the stately, lovingly renovated Jugendstil building of the Lindenh
