The 11th floor of WTC Hotel is home to a rooftop bar and restaurant with a cosmopolitan feel. Lounge seating, soft atmospheric lighting and windows all around the dining space affording views of the city make for a stunning setting. Chef Mike Kalkman presents modern cuisine that blends Dutch accents with international influences. Think hand-cut Frisian Black Angus beef tartare with a celeriac and mature cheese sorbet, or flawlessly cooked cod with pumpkin risotto, a vibrant Champagne mousseline and a sweet-and-sour pumpkin soup. Élevé is refined yet approachable, all in a decor that never ceas

A warm and intimate atmosphere reigns in this cosy place, where diners are treated to cordial service with a personal touch. French classics dominate the menu, but there are also Italian-influenced specialities, as well as lobster dishes. Think perfectly pan-seared langoustines with a lobster bisque mayonnaise, accompanied by an aubergine croquette and a curry sauce. Or how about a rich and creamy blanquette de veau? Should you wish to swap out a standard set menu item for one of the daily specials, the team will be happy to oblige. Expect genuine hospitality and fantastic value for money!

A spot in the conservatory is an absolute must when you come to this restaurant in a converted courthouse – the view of the water and the passing boats is magnificent! The restaurant is open throughout the day, so you can come for lunch, high tea or dinner. The chef skilfully navigates his way between classic and modern culinary traditions. For instance, he won't do too much to a steak tartare, but then he will conjure up a vegetarian dish based on roasted fennel and an apple jus. Be sure to check out the Asian-inspired appetisers.

The biggest draws of this warm and welcoming restaurant are Willem Schaafsma's culinary prowess and the exquisite pairings dreamt up by his sommelier. Here, you can savour dishes made with top-quality ingredients that are sourced as locally and sustainably as possible – and all at excellent value for money. A firm favourite!
