Nestled in the heart of Wales, Llangoed Hall sits on the site of the former Welsh Parliament, boasting breathtaking views of the Black Mountains. Surrounded by tranquil meadows and woods, this idyllic retreat offers peace and quiet, with only guests and local sheep for company. The hotel is conveniently located an hour from Newport by car or 45 minutes from London by helicopter. Set within 17 acres of gardens and parkland in the Wye River valley, Llangoed Hall is just nine miles west of charming Hay-on-Wye. With a history dating back to 560 AD, the present building largely reflects the Edwardian vision of architect Sir Clough William-Ellis, who completed its reconstruction in 1919. The carved timber staircase and impressive 95-foot pillared gallery showcase his distinctive style. The hotel offers 23 diverse guest rooms and a 24-hour reception. Business travelers will appreciate the available conference facilities. Each room features elegant Elanbach fabrics and furnishings, a private bathroom with a shower and bathtub, a television, radio, and direct-dial telephone. King-size beds and central heating ensure a comfortable stay. An iron and ironing board are also provided. Well-behaved pets are welcome to stay in our heated outdoor kennels free of charge, or you may request a pet-friendly room for an additional £25 per dog per night. Extra beds for children are available upon request. Travel cots for children aged 0-2 are £15 per night, and Z-beds for children aged 2-12 are £65 per night, both including breakfast. All extra charges will be added to your final bill upon departure.
