The Leisure Inn Penny Royal is a boutique heritage hotel with modern facilities, located a short 5-minute walk from Launceston's CBD, the renowned Cataract Gorge, and the historic Old Launceston Seaport restaurants. Originally a corn mill built in 1840, the property was painstakingly relocated 54 kilometers to Launceston and rebuilt stone by stone over 130 years later. The Penny Royal offers both motel rooms and apartments, each with a unique heritage atmosphere. Hotel facilities include an on-site restaurant, a charming lolly factory and gift shop, guest laundry, off-street parking, and non-smoking rooms. Please note that all rooms are located across three levels accessible via stairs only; there is no elevator. All two-bedroom apartments feature a split-level layout, with bedrooms upstairs and the bathroom and living area downstairs.
