As of December 1, 2016, Sunway Hotel Georgetown is a smoke-free hotel, with smoking permitted only in designated outdoor areas. A room recovery fee of RM400. 00 applies to non-compliance. Effective September 1, 2018, rates quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) are subject to a 10% service charge, a 6% Sales & Services Tax, and a Local Government Fee of RM3 per room per night.
